Valve clearance specs

I have had my 2017 VanVan200 for a few weeks now and I am getting close to the first service at that 600 mile break in period. The only thing I can't find online anywhere is what the valve clearance is supposed to be. Does anyone know? I really don't wanna shell out the $80 for the factory service manual but I will if I have to. And share that information with all you nice people of course ?

Legalese methinks. Doing you own maintenence is great (I plan to, regardless of any impact on warranty), but Suzuki probably requires official *documentation* of completed maintenence, which is difficult (but not impossible) to provide when doing one's own.

I am not sure where you are located but in north America there is a law in place called right to repair that forbids voiding warranty for doing maintenance on your own. Most claims are decided at a local level as well so it is best to have good standing with your dealer. for ease of record keeping I have purchased my oil and filter from the dealer. in 5 years when warranty is up then I will buy filters from local automotive store.

I bought a brand new Haynes Manual off of eBay for about $25 US from a guy in England. It covers the maintenance and specs for the 125 and 200cc models. It shows the valve clearance for the 200cc engine as 0.05 to 0.10 mm for the intake valve and 0.08 to 0.13 mm for the exhaust valve. Spark Plug Gap 0.6 to 0.7 mm Drive Chain Slack 20 to 30 mm

Here is a link to the ebay listing for the Haynes Manual. I bought one and it only took about 10 days to get to the USA

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-RV12...MAAOSwY3BZE1VN

It covers 2017 models also even though the listing says 2016. I doubt the 2018 models are any different.

FYI the RV125 manual pretty much covers the RV200, even things like valve clearances.
If you have an FI model, then the RV125 Supplementary manual covers the updated aspects of FI.

I say this as I could only find a 125 Manual (for free) online, and have verified the similarities myself and with Suzuki (im a Suzuki dealer)

ILIV and CKutz_GO like this.
