I've been looking at new mufflers for a while now and found a few that I like the sound of, but I really didn't want to pay $400. That being said I also like the sound of my three wheeler and all I did to it was cut the baffle out... So long story short, I bought an inch and a half hole saw at Home Depot today. So far I'm liking the sound of it.

Do what makes you happy. Doesn't matter what those behind you think.

I will be keeping mine stock. I don't want to disturb the farmer and/or their animals when I am out riding. I also am riding slow enough that I don't need to put in ear plugs so don't want to have to put them in just because of the bike noise.

Once when riding my KTM back in Florida, they actually sent out the police helicopter to spot me & guide in a ground unit in to tell me I had to leave & would be arrested if found there again. Just one of the many reasons why I fled my birth state feeling like the Frankenstein Monster chased by torch wielding villagers.

Well Iím 73, I like the quiet. I can sneak up on animals and watch them. I can drive by houses and people donít hear me until Iím by.

But best of all I can leave home and come back and my wife doesnít know i even left.

Weíll be talking and ask when I did that.

All of my bikes run the stock exhaust. I have a hard time spending money to replace something that works. The Van Van is the first bike I have owned in a while that I don't feel the need to replace the seat. So far I have only installed 1" handlebar risers I had laying on a shelf.

Thinking about a rack and a fuel cell for when I want to go explore on the range but at 20 mph I don't see myself going more than 40 miles in before being ready to turn around.
