Riding around the Tennessee Valley

Got in an 80 mile ride today. I love how quiet this bike is. I can ride down all the dead end farm roads without alerting the farmer that I am coming by.

Where abouts is the Tennessee valley located? I'm in the Carroll Co. area of W. Tenn. & we've got some great twisty/hilly back roads to ride as well. Middle Tennessee has a really cool organized ride called "the dirt devil" that is mostly gravel, very scenic & several water crossings. The water crossings can be very slippery but, the VV is so low you can just dab a foot under water (if you need to) & avoid flopping over on your side in the water.

Free speech is literally No.1 on the list of beliefs that make us Americans. NOTHING is more offensive to a true American than censorship.

South of Nashville near the Alabama border and in the Tennesse river watershed. The Dirt Devil is about 80 miles from me. Did a dual sport poker run there on my KLX250s and then rode it on my Versys 650. We have lots of water crossings on public roads in middle TN.

Must be a great place to ride.

I like quiet too. All my bikes have the stock exhaust.

I don't mind a loud bike as long as it's not obnoxious but, it needs to have the fangs & claws to back up the snarl. I'd feel silly putting around on a growling Van Van. As a teen ager I would stash my KE-175 in the bushes & crawl through (at her invitation of course) a young ladies window. The VV is the perfect bike for those kind of wacky shenanigans.

This must be the land where you can make a right at every intersection that has a stop light (so you don't have to stop) -- and still get to where you want to go. An alternate universe most likely.

Stop lights are few and far between where I live. I go 30 miles to work on 2 lane roads and there is 3 traffic light intersections between me and work.

Where I live if I take a right at a stop light I can then take a left on a parallel road and I do go through green lights.

Why wait when you don't have to is my riding motto.
