Hi all! I am seriously considering purchasing a VV200 this year. This will be my first bike and I have zero riding experience. I am well aware of this bike's capabilities and limitations but I think it would be great for scooting around town and hitting some light dirt roads on the weekends to learn on/off pavement riding skills. Any advice for a total beginner?

I think it is the perfect choice for a beginner. With 60+ years of riding I have myself gone in full circle and having a blast with this 200cc especially on the adjacent Forest Rds. I would suggest to drop your tire pressure to 16psi versus 18. Huge difference in comfort and better footprint handling. Don't try to remember which gear you are in since there is no gear indicator, it will eventually become second nature... Enjoy.
